The Euro Summer School on exotic beams is supported by the European commission, human potential program, high-level scientific conferences (HPCF-2001-00101-01).

 

You are expected to arrive Thursday in your hotel at CERN. If you arrive outside opening hours (Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm) please collect your key from the security guards at the CERN Entrance B (building 120).

Public transport

From Geneva Airport Cointrin: 

take bus No. 10 until "Bouchet" and then take bus No. 9 "CERN" to its terminus at 
entrance B of the CERN-Meyrin site. (be careful to take not No. 9 "Gare Zimeysa")

From Geneva City Railway Station at Cornavin:

take bus No. 9 "CERN to its terminus at entrance B of the CERN-Meyrin site (be 
careful not to take No. 9 "Gare Zimeysa"). 

The ticket costs 2.20 CHF (Button B on the ticket machine, it does not give any change it neither accepts bank notes). See also the webpage of the Geneva Public Transport Service (TPG).

TAXI

A taxi from the Airport to CERN costs about 25 CHF. From the main train station to CERN it is slightly more expensive.

By car

Coming from the Swiss side:

Follow "Aeroport", "Lyon" or "Meyrin". When in Meyrin head for "St. Genis" (which is just 
across the border in France.) CERN is on the left hand side of the "route de Meyrin", just 
before the border crossing.

Coming from the French side:

Follow "Gex" or "St. Genis". When in St. Genis head for the border. CERN is on your 
right hand side immediately after the border crossing
